The Merchant Marine Express

Hi Folks-
I made it into Yokohama,Japan alright. The weather is very blistery cold, yet a warm up on the way. I have settled into my job as a Third Mate and hope to be ‘underway’ soon. The plan may be that our ship might stay out to sea for longer than I have ever been(1-2 Months).

Well, It seems as if it is time for work, once again. I’ve had an adventurous 6 and a half months off…but ready for work! This new assignment will put me onboard the USNS ASSERTIVE, a Navy Surveillance ship.
